Talent management is one of Zurich's key initiates across the world. We established the Zurich Academy in October 2006 to build synergy and develop our human resources in Greater China. The launch was coupled with our joint programme at Tsinghua University in Beijing for our financial advisors. We are now looking for opportunities to collaborate with organizations and academies, offering both training for employees and scholarships for students. Zurich Academy will serve as a hub for knowledge exchange while nurturing the next generation of insurance expertise.
In Oct 2011, the centre of Zurich Academy (Hong Kong) was expanded to cope with our pace of development. Situating in Kwun Tong, the new centre, decorated with Zurich Model Office style, occupies over 18,000 square feet and comprises a 300-audience capacity multi-function hall. All training rooms and meeting rooms are equipped with high technology auxiliary equipment to support new talents development. The contemporary centre sets as a pioneer initiative among the industry.
Zurich regards talents as the company's most valuable asset. Looking ahead, we will maintain a strong focus on developing people and retaining talent. We expect the Zurich Academy to be a platform for knowledge exchange and propel sustainable business growth through building vertical synergies.
"Zurich Academy-Catch the Coaching Habit", a training programmes tailored for senior advisors, was awarded one of the top three in "Award for Excellence in Training 2009" organized by The Hong Kong Management Association. Zurich was the only awarded financial institution in the year.
