Zurich Academy
Zurich Academy is one of the major initiatives of Zurich’s talent management across the world. Since its establishment in October 2006, the Zurich Academy is designed to build synergy and develop our people in Greater China.
Our joint programme with Tsinghua University in Beijing 2006 was the first programme offered by the academy, mainly tailored to give the consultants a good market overview and equipped them with knowledge of the business environment and governance structure in the Mainland China insurance industry.
We are determined to demonstrate the best practice in the industry and Zurich Academy is a way to ensure this. Through seizing opportunities to collaborate with different recognized educational organizations and relevant associations to establish programmes and scholarships, we will offer our employees, consultants, business partners and even students in Greater China a flying start for great career development.
In June 2008, the centre of Zurich Academy (Hong Kong) was expanded to cope with our pace of development. Situating in Tsim Sha Tsui, the new centre, decorated with Zurich Model Office style, occupies over 17,000 square feet and comprises a 150-audience capacity multi-function hall. All training rooms and meeting rooms are equipped with high technology auxiliary equipment to support new talents development. The contemporary centre sets as a pioneer initiative among the industry.
Zurich regards talent as the company’s most valuable asset. Looking ahead, we will maintain a strong focus on developing people and retaining talent. We expect the Zurich Academy to be a platform for knowledge exchange and propel sustainable business growth through building vertical synergies, while living up to our commitment to nurture the next generation of insurance experts.
