LifeCare Movement Day – Love for the future

Zurich Life has always shown a commitment to undertake corporate social responsibility while developing business. 2010 marks the first year of our involvement in the LifeCare Movement (LCM), jointly supported by "The Life Underwriters Association of Hong Kong (LUA)" and "LUA Foundation" (LUAF).

The program has been popularizing LifeCare Education and the Policy Donation Program (PDP) since 2005, with LUA and LUAF gaining continued support from the insurance industry due to LCM's positive public reception.

LifeCare Education is mainly conducted in the form of regular seminars and encourages the public to recognize life and death with a positive attitude, so that they can learn to treasure life and realize the spirit of "LifeCare". As for the PDP, it is a program through which policyholders can extend their love to those in need by donating a certain percentage of their plans' total insured sum for charitable purposes.

Zurich Life's insurance consultants are active participants in this program, and many have received recognition from LCM in appreciation of their outstanding efforts as LifeCare Leaders (LCL), Ambassadors (LCA) and Referees (LCR) in the PDP over the course of this year. It gives us great pleasure in commending our consultants on their enthusiasm in spreading the ethos of caring for the community.

As of June 2010, a staggering sum of HK$182 million has been donated to charity organizations by a total of 3,891 policies - a truly inspiring and encouraging achievement indeed!
