Zurich "Super Health Special" offers premium discounts and free soup coupons

In an effort to promote greater awareness of health protection at the start of the year, Zurich Insurance Group (Hong Kong) ("ZIG") today launched an unprecedented offer "Super Health Special". The offer running from today till 28 th April, 2006 provides the insured of designated plans and supplementary benefits with two years age set-back premium discount1 for the whole policy term. policy owner of new Zurich life policy will also receive a free soup coupon.
Mr Denny Chan, ZIG Director of Life Business remarked, 'Zurich has always been sensitive to customer needs for enhanced health protection. Following our launch of the well-received "Delight Living", "Premier Saver" and a series of medical and critical illness insurance plans last year, we launch this unique offer to show our appreciation for the support of our customers and to encourage them to plan ahead for enhanced protection for their loved ones at a time when we turn to a new year.'
During the promotional period, upon submitting an application for the designated life, medical and critical illness insurance plans2, the policy owner, regardless of whether he/she is an existing or new customer, will enjoy two years age set-back premium discount for the whole policy term. With this age set-back discount offer, the premium payable for both basic plan and supplementary benefits will be calculated at the premium rate applicable to the life insured's age next birthday minus two years. It thus allows the insured to get the same sum insured amount at a special premium discount rate.
Illustration: Assuming the life insured is a male, non-smoker and aged 51 (age next birthday), and applies for a plan with a sum insured of HK$500,000, the age set-back premium discount is as follows:

1 The definition of age set-back premium discount: 2 years age set-back is offered for the life insured whose age is 21 or above (age next birthday) and the calculation is based on the premium rate applicable to the life insured's age next birthday minus 2 years. 1 year age set-back is offered for the life insured whose age is 20 (age next birthday) and the calculation is based on the premium rate applicable to the life insured's age next birthday minus 1 year. The offer is valid for the whole policy term.
