Zurich added China medical card services
and golf equipment protection to Travelplus Insurance Plan

July 13, 2006

In response to the increasing business and leisure travel to the mainland China, Zurich Insurance Group (Hong Kong) ("Zurich") today launched several enhancements to its Travelplus Insurance Plan, including free China medical card services to its annual travel plan policyholders which entitles them to admission in more than 100 appointed hospitals in mainland China. The enhanced plan has also extended coverage for golf equipment and compassionate death cash cover.

Following the additional protection for the travel delay, loss of travel documents or credit cards due to natural disasters and waiving of age limit last year, Zurich's Travelplus now added China medical card services to the plan. Upon presentation of valid Zurich's China Medical Card, policyholders can be admitted to more than 100 appointed hospitals in mainland China for medical treatment, in the unfortunate event of accidents or illnesses. This will allow them to avoid the trouble of raising hospital admission guarantee on the spot and delay in receiving medical care.

For those who are used to making frequent business trips or playing golf outside Hong Kong, they will find Zurich's enhanced travel insurance plan meeting their needs. Should the accompanying baggage or personal belongings including golf equipment get lost or damaged due to accidents, Zurich will provide reimbursement to cover repair or replacement. The maximum benefit per article or set of collection including golf equipment is HK$2,500 and for laptop computer is up to HK$5,000.

In the unfortunate event of death of the insured, Zurich will now be able to provide immediate financial assistance of HK$10,000 compassionate death cash to his/her family and up to HK$30,000 indemnity for one economy class, return airfare and reasonable hotel accommodation expenses necessarily incurred by one immediate family member. Existing benefits cover personal accident and repatriation of mortal remains.

Allan Yu, Director of General Business of Zurich Insurance Group (Hong Kong) said, "Zurich has been leading the travel insurance market with our many innovative products. Latest addition of China medical card services and golf equipment protection timely meet with the changes of travel practice among Hong Kong people in recent years and give them better protection for travelling overseas."
