Standing Together in a Record‑Breaking Storm
In September 2023, Hong Kong was hit by a record‑breaking rainstorm that caused serious flooding. When elevators in a large building complex were damaged, we arranged for adjusters to inspect the site within hours. They recommended immediate emergency repairs while preserving evidence for claims. Operations resumed within three days, and the customer praised our prompt, practical help. This incident highlights that our protection goes beyond compensation in times of crisis.

We Care for Our Community
MHAHK Chill Lab
In 2023, Zurich launched a three‑year youth‑oriented mental health community project, Chill Lab, in collaboration with the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong (MHAHK) and supported by Z Zurich Foundation. The project promotes youth mental wellbeing through school engagement, youth participation and cross‑sector collaboration, using a youth hub, VR/AR activities and community programs to reach young people across Hong Kong.
3x3 Inter-school Basketball Competition
Zurich has been proudly title‑sponsoring the 3x3 Inter‑school Basketball Competition since 2021, championing local sports and youth athlete development among secondary schools. Beyond the games, the program includes mental wellbeing workshops for players, charity sales and training camps for underprivileged kids, promoting mental and physical wellbeing across the community and among Zurich staff.
Love Fills Tai Po – Community Support Program
Together with the Z Zurich Foundation, Zurich has supported MHAHK’s “Love Fills Tai Po – Community Support Program.” The project walks side by side with Tai Po residents through local activities, online learning, psychological support and clinical services, helping the community access emotional and mental health care close to home. We also donated HKD 500,000 to the "Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po" and launched a global employee fundraising campaign. All staff donations were fully matched by the Z Zurich Foundation, with proceeds donated to the Red Cross to support people in need.
Sustainability
Beach Clean-up
Zurich joined an industry‑wide shoreline cleanup at Shek O Beach, organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers and the Jane Goodall Institute Hong Kong. Together with other insurers, we helped remove around 40kg of waste from the coastline, showing our shared commitment to protecting the environment and supporting a more sustainable Hong Kong.
ESG Achievements
Zurich won the ‘Excellence in ESG and Sustainability Award’ top honor for four consecutive years at the Hong Kong Insurance Awards, recognizing our continued efforts and achievements in environmental, social and governance practices.

At Zurich, we believe strong partnerships are built on trust, collaboration and shared growth. Through the Zurich Premium Cup 2026, a 3x3 Basketball Tournament, we created a platform for our business partners and colleagues to connect beyond work, using sport to bring people together and celebrate the spirit of teamwork.
Held at the iconic Southorn Stadium in Wan Chai, the event brought together 12 teams from Zurich and our valued business partners. Participants enjoyed the excitement of friendly competition in a professional tournament setting while building connections and fostering camaraderie on and off the court.
More than just a basketball tournament, the event helped strengthen trust and deepen relationships with our partners, extending collaboration beyond the meeting room and creating opportunities for even greater success together.
