Standing with customers and the community affected by the Wang Fuk Court fire

We are deeply saddened by the tragic fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, and extend our heartfelt condolences to those affected. To support our customers and the community during this difficult time, we have implemented dedicated measures for emergency assistance, and have donated HKD 500,000 to the "Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po".

Zurich is offering the following emergency assistance to impacted customers with express and flexible handling:

• Home insurance customers may register via e-form for an advanced payment of HKD 9,000 for emergency alternative accommodation. No receipts are required.
• Life insurance customers may receive an emergency cash allowance of HKD 5,000.
• Alternative accommodation coverage is extended to all Zurich home insurance policies with insured address at Wang Fuk Court.
• Policy will remain valid for late premium payments.
• Travel insurance customers impacted by this event are eligible for trip cancellation refunds, subject to refund amount by other providers.
• Important information has been sent via WhatsApp messages to impacted customers and is available on our website, Facebook and Instagram pages.

In addition to supporting our customers, Zurich is committed to helping the community affected via donations:

• Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong) have donated HKD 500,000 to the "Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po" set up by the HKSAR Government, and will actively consider providing further donations in response to evolving circumstances to support those in need.
• We are encouraging Zurich employees worldwide to donate to Hong Kong Red Cross, with all donations to be 100% matched by the Z Zurich Foundation.
